Classic City Juneteenth Music & Arts Festival Returns to Athens on June 20, 2026

Athens, GA — The Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement (AADM) and United GA Entertainment are proud to announce the return of the Classic City Juneteenth Music & Arts Festival, taking place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Georgia Square Mall in Athens, Georgia.

The Classic City Juneteenth Music & Arts Fest is a vibrant, community-centered celebration honoring the legacy of Juneteenth through music, culture, art, food, wellness, education, and Black economic empowerment. The event aims to bring together families, local businesses, artists, performers, organizations, and community leaders for an uplifting day of celebration, unity, and cultural pride.

The festival will feature:
• Live music and performances
• Local vendors and Black-owned businesses
• Food trucks and cultural cuisine
• Art and community exhibits
• Wellness and educational resources
• Youth and family-friendly activities

“Juneteenth is more than a celebration — it is a reflection of freedom, resilience, culture, and community,” said Mokah Jasmine Johnson, organizer and co-founder of AADM. “This festival creates a space for empowerment, economic opportunity, and honoring the ongoing fight for justice and equality. Highlighting the importance of supporting local artists, entrepreneurs, and community-driven initiatives.

Vendor registration is now officially open for businesses, artists, nonprofits, and food vendors interested in participating in this year’s festival. Organizers encourage early registration as space is limited.
